GameStop has a new PS5 restock dropping on August 19 & 20 and you’ll be able to take part whether you’re a PowerUp Rewards Pro member or not.

It’s been almost 2 years since the launch of Sony’s PlayStation 5 but the console is still hard to come by. Rather than being able to find the powerful device in their local retailer, most gamers are still having to rely on specific restocks to secure their games console.

Thankfully, at least PS5 drops are becoming far more frequent than ever before, in the second half of 2022. And GameStop is one of the most common restockers on the market.

However, if you don’t want to wait for a drop, don’t forget that another retailer sells PS5 consoles in-store every day! And what’s more, they don’t force you to buy an expensive bundle either.

PS5 Restock at GameStop – August 19-20

GameStop is offering up new PS5 bundles in its August 19-20 restock, both for members and regular customers.

According to the official GameStop website, the retailer will be putting new PS5 bundles live for PowerUp Rewards Pro members on August 19. All stores in the USA should be receiving stock for the upcoming drop.

If you’re not already a PowerUp Rewards Pro member, you can sign up on the GameStop website for $14.99 a year.

No Membership Required PS5 Restock

The announcement also states that GameStop’s PS5 stock will then go on sale for customers without a membership one day later on August 20.

This is notably the first time we’ve seen GameStop open up stock to all customers in quite some time, and suggests that either demand is lowering or the restock size is larger this time around.

GameStop PS5 Bundles Contents

According to a new leak from Twitter user videogamedeals, the GameStop PS5 bundles available will contain the following:

Disc Bundle

  • Playstation 5 Disc Edition
  • Additional PS5 DualSense Controller
  • Madden NFL 23

Digital Bundle 1

  • PS5 Digital Edition with Horizon Forbidden West
  • PS5 DualSense Controller Galaxy Purple
  • $70 PS Store Voucher

Digital Bundle 2

  • PS5 Digital Edition
  • PS5 DualSense Controller Galaxy Purple
  • $70 PS Store Voucher

We don’t have any exact details on prices just yet, but console-hunters should expect to pay a little more than they’d like to secure their PS5.

At the start of this month, we saw that Walmart is now stocking PS5 consoles on store shelves. It might be worth a look if you’ve got a brick-and-mortar store nearby.

If you’re still on the hunt for a ‘next-gen’ console, be sure to sign up with Amazon for a PS5 restock invite! The world’s largest online retailer now offers PS5 consoles directly to those who request an invitation, but you’ll have to wait for your chance to buy.
