Players will need to unlock the ability to swim, climb, ride, jump and fly on Koraidon or Miraidon in Scarlet and Violet. We’re here to help you learn how.

There are plenty of ways to traverse across Paldea in Scarlet and Violet. However, none are as satisfying as riding on the back of your Legendary Pokemon, Koraidon, or Miraidon.

With the ability to ride, jump, fly, swim, and climb, you can cross over Paldea’s many cliffs, lakes, grassy plains, and deserts with ease.

Of course, obtaining the means to traverse this way won’t come easy. You will need to unlock each ability individually.

How to Ride Miraidon & Koraidon

To ride on the Legendary Pokemon Miraidon and Koraidon in Scarlet and Violet, players just need to press the + button.

You can ride Miraidon and Koraidon anywhere across Paldea, including inside towns and cities. However, players won’t unlock the ability to ride them until they reach Mesagoza.

You will need to complete the introductory school sections in the Academy and receive the mission to go on a treasure hunt before Miraidon and Koraidon will be rideable.

This shouldn’t take you much more than two hours or so, depending on how long you spend exploring and battling Pokemon in the wild.

How to Jump on Miraidon & Koraidon

To jump on Miraidon and Koraidon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, players just need to press the B button once.

You can jump anywhere in Paldea, and won’t take fall damage if you jump from a tall height which makes early traversal very convenient.

How to Fly on Miraidon & Koraidon in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

To fly on Miraidon and Koraidon, you first need to unlock the ability by defeating the Quaking Earth Titan as part of the Path of Legends storyline.

Once you’ve successfully beaten it, all you’ll need to do is press B and then B again, and you will glide through the air.

It is recommended to unlock the ability to fly, that you have a team of Pokemon around level 45 to defeat the Quaking Earth Titan Iron Treads (Violet) or Great Tusks (Scarlet).

Players will find the Quaking Earth Titan on the West side of Paldea in the Asado Desert just below Porto Marinada.

How to Swim on Miraidon & Koraidon in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

To swim on Miraidon and Koraidon in Scarlet and Violet, you will need to defeat the Open Sky Titan, the second Titan you should face as part of the Paths of Legend story path.

After beating it and receiving the ability to swim, all you’ll need to do is run into a body of water while riding Miraidon or Koraidon.

It is recommended that you bring a team of level 19+ Pokemon to defeat the Open Sky Titan, Bombirdier. Ideally, you should bring electric, rock, ice, or fairy-type Pokemon as they are its weaknesses.

The Open Sky Titan can be found in the West Province (Area One), North West of Cortondo where you will find the bug-type Gym.

How to Climb with Miraidon & Koraidon in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

To climb in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet on Miraidon and Koraidon, players need to beat the False Dragon Titan, which is a part of the Paths of Legend storyline.

Once you’ve unlocked the ability, press B near a steep incline, cliffside, or wall to latch on to it. Then just use the left joystick to walk up or down it.

The False Dragon Titan is one of the last Titans you should attempt to battle, and as a result, you’ll need at least level 50 Pokemon.

To find the False Dragon Titan, head North West from Medali to reach the East side of Casseroya Lake. You will need to go into the lake itself, so make sure to unlock the ability to swim first.
