To complete the Primal Rumblings Special Research in Pokemon GO, you must finish six different in-game tasks, split into two steps.
Step 1 of the Primal Rumblings Research focuses on catching Pokemon of certain types from the Hoenn region, while Step 2 asks players to complete Field Research, power up Pokemon, or make Great Curveball Throws.

To complete Step 1 of the Primal Rumblings Research in Pokemon GO, you must catch Pokemon of all different types!

Primal Rumblings 2/2 – Tasks & Rewards
To complete step 2 of the Primal Rumblings Research, you need to complete 5 Field Research Tasks, power up Pokemon 10 times, and make 5 Great Curveball throws.
