Players can get the Uber Unique, the Ahavarion Spear of Lycander, as a random drop from level 85+ enemies in World Tier 4 Torment Difficulty.
You can also target farm for the Ahavarion Spear of Lycander by summoning and defeating the Echo of Duriel in Diablo 4 Season 2. Duriel is the only endgame boss to have Uber Uniques in his loot table in Diablo 4.
It’s for this reason that defeating Duriel is the most reliable way of getting the Ahavarion Spear of Lycander, though you need to meet a few requirements before you can fight him.
How to Get Ahavarion Spear of Lycander from Duriel in Diablo 4
To get the Ahavarion Spear of Lycander from Duriel, you need to summon and defeat him in the Gaping Crevasse dungeon while playing in World Tier 4. After defeating him, the Ahavarion Spear of Lycander has a chance to drop as loot.
Taking on and defeating Duriel is the only way to target farm for Uber Uniques in Diablo 4. It’s the best method of getting the Ahavarion Spear of Lycander compared to other methods of obtaining Uber Uniques.
To summon Duriel, you need to do the following:
- Deposit Mucus-Slick Eggs and Shards of Agony in the Pestilent Altar in the Gaping Cravasse dungeon to summon the Echo of Duriel
- You will need:
- 2 Mucus-Slick Eggs
- 2 Shards of Agony
- You will need:
- Defeat the Echo of Varshan in World Tier 4 to obtain Mucus-Slick Eggs
- Defeat Grigoire, The Galvanic Saint in World Tier 4 to obtain Shards of Agony

How to Get Ahavarion Spear of Lycander As Loot in Diablo 4
To get the Ahavarion Spear of Lycander as loot, you need to be at least level 85+ while playing in World Tier 4 difficulty.
You must have already completed the Fallen Temple Capstone Dungeon in order to unlock the World Tier 4 Torment Difficulty. Additionally, you’ll need to be on Tier 31 Nightmare Dungeons to encounter level 85 enemies.
As it’s one of the seven rarest Uber Unique items in the game, you should expect to kill a significant amount of mobs before the Ahavarion Spear of Lycander Uber Unique drops, as it is incredibly rare.
You can increase your chances of getting the Diablo 4 Season 1 Uber Unique, the Ahavarion Spear of Lycander, somewhat by doing the following:
- Defeat Duriel in World Tier 4
- Defeat Elite enemies
- Take part in Helltide events

This Unique Effect makes the Ahavarion Spear of Lycander an incredibly powerful weapon to use in Nightmare Dungeons, which are typically full of Elite enemies.
The Ahavarion Spear of Lycander is not class-specific and can be equipped by any class in Diablo 4. However, due to being a staff, it is better suited to Druids and Sorcerers.
