The trio of starter Pokemon from Scarlet & Violet, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, have finally arrived in Pokemon GO – and everyone wants to catch them!
The A Paldean Adventure event is the first proper introduction of Gen 9 in Pokemon GO, and, of course, the starter Pokemon are coming first. Fortunately, players will have a number of ways to catch Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly during this event!
How to Catch Sprigatito, Fuecoco, & Quaxly in Pokemon GO: A Paldean Adventure
There are four ways to catch Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly during the Pokemon GO A Paldean Adventure event:
- Catch a wild Sprigatito, Fuecoco, or Quaxly
- Complete the Catch 9 Pokemon event Field Research Task to earn Paldea starter encounters
- Hatch one from a 7km event Egg
- Choose Sprigatito, Fuecoco, or Quaxly in the A Paldean Adventure Special Research
All four of these methods will be available for Pokemon GO players from 10 AM local time on September 5 until 10 AM local time on September 10, 2023.
Fortunately, as long as you have picked up a 7km Egg during the event, you will be able to hatch it at any time to get one of these starter ‘Mon.

Following the end of the A Paldean Adventure event, players will still be able to catch Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. However, they will only be available in 5km Eggs for the Adventures Abound season.
It is not known when the Paldea starter trio will next spawn in the wild. However, like other starter Pokemon, we expect them to become fairly common spawns at some point in the future.
