Despite launching in a relatively stable state, Nintendo is keen on releasing patches for the game left right, and center. This latest one addresses a quest bug, audio issues and improves overall gameplay.

TOTK Version 1.1.2 May 25 Patch Notes
The Version 1.1.2 update for Tears of the Kingdom involves a handful of audio and gameplay fixes that should help improve the overall experience. The patch notes are as follows:
Audio Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the sound would play at an extremely high volume in certain conditions.
Additional Fixes
- Fixed an issue in the main quest, “Camera Work in the Depths”, where players could not progress beyond a certain point. Downloading the update will allow players to proceed past that point.
- Several issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience.

There isn’t much to these patch notes, especially as the “several issues” that have been addressed to improve gameplay are not specified at all.
However, renowned dataminer OatmealDome claims that this new update actually removes the duplication glitch that players have been using to get unlimited items.
While the removal of this duplication glitch will certainly be a blow for some players, it isn’t unsurprising, especially as Nintendo are typically quick to address potential exploits in their games.
Previous patch notes have also made reference to “several issues” being addressed. However, if you’re still experiencing lag, have a guide that could help boost your framerate.
