Tears of the Kingdom Metacritic / OpenCritic Score

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild currently sits at a 97 Metascore and 8.7 User Score on Metacritic. It boasts a 96 Top Critic Average and a 100% Critics Recommend on OpenCritic.

With early previews indicating that Tears of the Kingdom contains a myriad of improvements, as well as new game-changing additions, we anticipate a similarly high score for the latest Zelda title.

It’s worth noting that TOTK is following in the footsteps of BOTW, where the previous game paved a new way for the franchise. But with many games trying and failing to replicate the 6-year-old Zelda game’s success over the last few years, we expect Nintendo to show us how it’s done once again.

We expect The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to receive scores around the 95-100 mark, much like its predecessor.

UPDATE: Tears of the Kingdom is currently sitting at a 96 Metascore on Metacritic, with a 97 Top Critic Average and 100% Critics Recommend on OpenCritic!
