The Xbox conference comes a day after EA opened the weekend with it’s EA Play brief. As well as Microsoft, Bethesda is set to have their conference today. This will be followed by relatively new, newcomers Devolver Digital.

What Can We Expect

The Xbox E3 2018 press conference is set to reveal some big things. With last year’s reveal of the Xbox One X console, there has been speculation that Microsoft will focus more on the games this year.

Microsoft have apparently stated that they will be revealing fifteen world premiers during the conference. These premiers will most likely include many fan favourite franchises such as Halo, Forza and Gears of War.

Halo 6 is rumored to be announced at E3. However, many people don’t think the game will actually come out until late 2019. In addition to this, Gears of War 5 is set to be announced. Though, there are rumors that there could be up to two more new Gears of War titles announced by Microsoft this year. One of these could even be a Battle Royale style game – though we won’t know for sure until later on today.

Regarding Forza Horizon 4 there was some concept art that was revealed a while back which suggested the destination for the game. The last few Horizon games have been set in Europe and Australia. However, Forza Horizon 4 could be set to take place in Asia. More information will most likely be revealed in a couple of hours.

There could also be some news regarding the Xbox-exclusive Battle Royale game PlayerUnknown’s Battleground (PUBG). After it’s initial success and on-going competition with Fortnite, Microsoft might have some new plans for this game that could keep players hooked.

Regardless, one of Xbox’s key goals for this year’s E3 press conference is to get people excited about the Xbox console again. With those apparent fifteen announcements, we’re hopeful there’ll be some huge news coming from Microsoft this year.
