What is the Xbox Scorpio?
The Xbox Scorpio (commonly known as Project Scorpio) was previously announced at E3 2016 along with the Xbox One S. Microsoft have stated it will be the most powerful console ever made. Although this could just be speculation, the specs are starting to back this up.
The price is yet to be confirmed, but Microsoft have given us huge hints which many fans will be pleased about. Microsoft have confirmed that the Project Scorpio will cost more than the Xbox One S although this was expected. They have also stated that the Scorpio is going to be like a Gaming PC, which would usually cost thousands, however Microsoft have hinted that the Xbox Scorpio price will likely be around £350-£400.
All we know so far is that the console will be coming out Holiday 2017, so the exact released date is likely to come at microsoft’s E3 2017 full reveal of the Xbox Scorpio. The company will hold a briefing on Sunday, June 11 to confirm details regarding the console.

The Microsoft E3 2017 briefing takes place Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 2 pm PDT / 10 pm GMT / 5 pm EST. The event is at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California, although we are still unsure whether this event is open to the public or whether it will only be available on livestream. Huge details will be revealed including price, exact release date, specs and whether it is VR compatible.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer has confirmed that the Scorpio is capable of VR, although the Xbox website no longer states the Xbox Project Scorpio system will support “Hi-fidelity VR”.
