Xbox Games Showcase Planned for this Month, Reports Claim

According to multiple sources, Microsoft could be giving fans a look into the Xbox games currently in development in a new showcase at some point this month.

It looks like the Nintendo Direct has had a grand impact on the gaming industry at large.

The titans of the industry have clearly taken note of the immense hype that the presentations can garner. And, as no surprise to anyone, they all reckon they can replicate it.

PlayStation's State of Play is a great example of the phenomenon. Sony used the grand format to reveal some great games last February, and in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, online press conferences are on their way to being the new norm.

And it looks like Microsoft is getting in on the action. A new Xbox conference looks to be coming this month, and it could have some great news to give us.

Xbox's "What's New For Gaming" Showcase Coming This Month

Various reports have revealed that Microsoft has a conference up their sleeves that could be coming later this month. After last night's Bethesda conference revealed twenty classic Bethesda titles coming to the Game Pass, they've got the bug for Direct-style reveals once again.

The first hint we have that a conference is upcoming is from Paul Thurrott, a tech developer with close ties to Microsoft. He tweeted in February that he'd heard a "what's new for gaming" event would be occurring on March 23rd.

It looks like Microsoft has two different events planned this month, one focussed on new games, and the other on the technology that Windows is working on behind the scenes.

It's an interesting prospect, but it doesn't end there. Windows Central reports that through their own sources, the event could have shifted slightly to March 26th. They suggest that the show will offer a look at the upcoming games of 2021 and beyond for Xbox.

Whichever of these dates comes to be true, at least we've got an idea that Microsoft will be showing us some of their new games in the coming month. An Xbox showcase could deliver exactly what fans have been waiting for, and we're incredibly excited for it.

But what exactly do they have up their sleeves? Here are the games the Xbox Showcase has in store for us!

Xbox has been on the heels of PlayStation this last month, as they've had plenty of big revelations.

It's reported that the huge roster of Ubisoft+ games could be coming to Game Pass this year.

Plus, as Xbox has confirmed Bethesda game exclusivity on platforms with Game Pass, it looks like Microsoft has landed a monopoly on the best company in the industry.
