It’s still hard to get your hands on an Xbox Series X/S – but the stock shortage will end soon!
After what’s drawing close to 6 months on the market, the Xbox Series X/S is nowhere to be seen. It’s almost impossible to find the next-gen console in the wild, and gamers are getting impatient.
The leap to next-gen is something no player wants to miss out on, but consoles are still in short supply. Thankfully, a new report suggests that we’re not going to be searching for our Xbox Series X/S for much longer.
After Microsoft reported record earnings thanks to the Xbox Series X/S success, gamers finally have some idea about when the devices will be more readily available.
It’s interesting to compare these numbers to just how many PS5 consoles have sold so far to get an idea of how Sony and Microsoft are handling the pandemic.
Here’s When Xbox Series X/S Shortage Will End
According to past reports, Microsoft’s production of Xbox Series X/S is currently being held back by a shortage of semiconductor chips and components. And this ongoing shortage will likely last until the second quarter of 2022.
AMD CEO Lisa Su has even warned that this chip shortage may be ongoing even through the second half of 2021. However, we won’t have to wait that long before finding our new Xbox, suggests reports.
Microsoft predicts that the Xbox Series X/S stock shortage won’t change until June 2021, a date that’s come around faster than you’d imagine. If this estimation proves correct, we only have one more month of next-gen console stock shortage to struggle through.
Thankfully, there are actually new Xbox Series X/S consoles restocking this week! It seems that many gamers won’t have to wait until June after all.
And the next-gen consoles are not the only Xbox products in development right now either. Although we imagine the shortage on these new items may actually be just as severe.
Recently, Microsoft made a big change to its Xbox Live service that’s making gamers very happy. And if you’re a hopeful new Xbox owner, be sure to check out our list of the very best games on Xbox Game Pass.
