Do You Need Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus for Diablo 4 Beta?

When it comes to battling demons in Diablo IV, will you need to pay to play?

No, you do not need Xbox Live Gold or a PlayStation Plus membership in order to play the Diablo 4 Open Beta or Early Access period in most regions.

However, players in Germany will need a PlayStation Plus subscription to enjoy the Beta, thanks to country-specific ratings requirements.

Despite Diablo IV’s Beta being an online trial, players will not need Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus to hop in and try it out.

What’s more, you can even play co-op with your friends in the Beta – no subscription required!

Will You Need PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold to Play Diablo 4?

Yes, players will need PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold to play Diablo 4 online when release day rolls around. However, the subscription services are not needed to enjoy the game’s Beta or Early Access periods.

However, a lot of the game’s best features will come from online play, so we recommend you check them out in the Beta while you can.
