Call of Duty: WW2 Vanguard has yet to be officially announced, and already the game is shaping up to be somewhat of a disappointment.
Recently, rumors regarding the new Call of Duty title have been circulating the web. Players are eager for any news regarding the game, but so far interest has been waning for the game. Interestingly, a well-trusted source recently claimed that Call of Duty: WW2 Vanguard is a disaster.
Now, however, more leaked information has emerged which implies the game might not even be a full next-gen release. Players should remain skeptical about the quality of the next Call of Duty release, considering the game is reportedly scheduled for a 2021 release.
Here is what one credible leaker had to say regarding the rumor that Call of Duty: WW2 Vanguard will be available on last-gen consoles.
Call of Duty: WW2 Vanguard Will Be On Last-Gen Consoles
According to credible leaker Tom Henderson on Twitter, WW2 Vanguard will not be exclusive to next-gen consoles.
Although the decision to feature the game on last-gen consoles might seem like an inclusive move, it does in fact directly affect the performance and graphical capabilities of the game.
Furthermore, reportedly Sledgehammer Games are possibly producing Vanguard. The game developers behind Call of Duty: WW2 recently teased COD 2021 on Twitter.
Interestingly, Tom Henderson made a statement on the game, which has yet to be officially announced. In a recent tweet he had the following to say:
WW2 Vanguard is going to be held back so bad by previous generation consoles, and from my understanding, they are planning previous gen for both Vanguard and IW’s next title.(Source: @_Tom_Henderson_)
As you can see, Henderson, who has a proven track record with leaks, believes that the COD 2021 will be stunted by this decision. It will mean that Vanguard might not be as graphically astounding as other titles, such as the rumored Battlefield 6.
Furthermore, Henderson also shines a light on the subsequent Call of Duty title. According to the leaker, Infinity Wards’ next title may also feature on last-gen consoles too.
Although perhaps not the wisest decision, at least fans who have not yet managed to secure a next-gen console may be able to enjoy the game on their current consoles.
Interestingly, another rumor suggests that COD: WW2 Vanguard will return to the Modern Warfare engine. This will likely benefit Warzone players, as the game also runs on the same engine.
Similarly, Warzone will be getting huge mid-year content updates. This will correlate with Vanguards’ integration into the popular Battle Royale game.
Finally, there are already teases appearing for the next COD title in Black Ops Cold War Zombies Outbreak Mode. Take a look for yourself to see the new tease in-game.
We will continue to keep you updated on any news relating to Call of Duty. Stay tuned for further updates regarding the next COD installment.
