Blizzard Disables Wrecking Ball in Overwatch 2 Beta: Super Showcases the Bug

With Overwatch pro ‘supertf’ showcasing the bug live to thousands of viewers, it appears the issue caught the attention of devs as well. As a result, Blizzard has now disabled Wrecking Ball in Overwatch 2 Beta.

Overwatch player ‘InfektedOW‘ took to Twitter to share a clip of their friend playing Wrecking Ball. As seen in the clip, the player tells their friend to bump off a wall and grapple the ground while looking down.

As a result, we can see the player’s game crash immediately. Only the player playing Wrecking Ball is not affected by the bug as every other player on the server is immediately disconnected.

Many fans have already been complaining about players abusing the Wrecking Ball bug. It was only after popular OW streamer ‘supertf’ showcased the bug live on their stream that Blizzard took action.
