World Series of Warzone 2023 Tournament Format, Prize Pool & Rules

The best players in Warzone 2 gather for the largest tournament in Call of Duty history.

World Series of Warzone, one of the most popular tournaments in battle royales, is returning for the 2023 Season.

The tournament features events where the biggest names in Warzone 2 compete and showcase their skills.

WSOW 2023 Tournament Format

The World Series of Warzone 2023 is broken up into two stages and a Last Chance Qualifier for North America and Europe.

For the first time ever, the WSOW will end with a live in-person finale.

North America and Europe will bot have their own qualifiers based on region. Here is how each stage is broken down:

  • Stage 1 – April & May
    • In-Game Open
      • Top 50 advance to Qualifiers
    • Qualifiers
      • Top 25 advance to Regional Finals
    • Regional Finals
      • Will include an additional 25 Invited Trios
      • Top 25 advance to Stage 2 Regional Finals
      • Bottom 25 are sent to Stage 2 Qualifiers
  • Stage 2 – June & July
    • In-Game Open
      • Top 25 advance to Qualifiers
    • Qualifiers
      • Top 25 advance to Regional Finals
    • Regional Finals Stage 2
      • Top 15 advance to Global Final
      • Bottom 35 are sent to Last Chance
    • Last Chance
      • Will include an additional 15 invited trios.
      • Top 5 EU advance to Global Final
      • Top 5 NA advance to Global Final
  • Global Final – September
    • Grand Final with $600,000 Total Prize Pool
    • SoloYolo Tournament
WSOW 2023 Format

World Series of Warzone 2023 Prize Pool

The World Series of Warzone 2023 will feature a prize pool of $1.2 Million. This is split up between the Regional Finals and Global Final events that will be held throughout the year.

  • Each Regional Final will include $150,000 per region. There are two stages, each with its own Regional Final.
    • This accounts for $600,000 of the total prize pool.
  • The Global Final itself will feature a total prize pool of $600,000.

WSOW 2023 Rules & Scoring

The World Series of Warzone 2023 scores each elimination as 1 point and then multiplies the total amount of points by the teams placement in the match.

  • 1st Place: 2x Point Multiplier
  • 2nd–5th Place: 1.8x Points
  • 6th–10th Place: 1.6x Points
  • 11th–20th Place: 1.4x Points
  • 21st–35th Place: 1.2x Points
  • 36th–50th Place: 1x Points

This means that your placement in the match is just as important as the number of kills obtained. But it also means that players that focus on getting eliminations also have a chance and aren’t punished for being aggressive.

It’s likely that all Warzone 2 playuers looking to participate will start to iron out the best meta weapons to use for high kills to get the most amount of points.

What is the World Series of Warzone?

World Series of Warzone is an official series of tournament events hosted by Activision Blizzard. Here, the biggest names in Call of Duty come to participate in the largest prize pools in Warzone history.

In this tournament, players compete to earn their part in the enormous $1.2 Million prize pool. WSOW 2023 places an importance on both the placement of players and the amount of kills they obtain.
