Will the Intervention (FJX Imperium) One-Shot in Warzone 2

The return of the king of snipers may mark a new beginning for Warzone 2.

The Intervention, one of the most iconic weapons in the Call of Duty franchise, returns in MW2 and Warzone 2 as the FJX Imperium.

But the Intervention became famous due to its powerful, quick-scope abilities. Players could easily down multiple enemies with one-shot quick scopes that would lead to some amazing highlights.

Can I One-Shot Enemies With the Intervention FJX Imperium?

If the Intervention FJX Imperium follows the same mechanics as the previous snipers in Warzone 2, you will not be able to one-shot fully armored enemy players with it.

If it was to follow the same limits set by all the previous snipers, then its headshot damage will cap at 249.

However, both Activision and content creators are teasing that one-shot snipers may return in Warzone 2 Season 3!

Damage differs from sniper to sniper, but no sniper in Warzone 2 can currently down a fully armored player with a one-shot.

This may disappoint players because the Intervention was often the star of many quick-scoping montages, and it seems that aspect of the weapon will not return.

But this could change with Season 3. It wouldn’t surprise the community if Warzone 2 reverted this change and welcomed one-shot snipers to the mix.

One Shot Sniping May Return in Warzone 2 Season 3

Various content creators have hinted at the return of one shot sniping with the Warzone 2 Season 3 update.

Despite not having a direct statement, many content creators have strong relationships with various Call of Duty developers.

Warzone 2 recently held an event where players could actually find a one-shot sniper in Warzone 2. This could point toward Call of Duty testing out how a one-shot sniper would perform with the current gameplay.

Warzone 2 also has a history of reverting back to old mechanics when the community voices it opinion loudly enough.

Warzone 2 Players React to Intervention (FJX Imperium) Reveal

Players feel that Call of Duty is banking on nostalgia to help push the FJX Imperium as one of the top weapons in Warzone 2.

In the past few seasons, a lot of the maps they’ve added were remakes of older maps. With Season 3, Estate, an old Warzone map, returns alongside the Intervention.

Many players want to see the Intervention in its former glory as a one-shot sniper. Without the one-shot capabilities, many of them feel it’ll be an empty shell, and the hype will blow over quickly.

Some players are hopeful for the weapon’s performance and look forward to adding it to their load-outs.

The acclaimed sniper seems to be paving a more positive future for some players in Warzone 2, despite all the negativity surrounding the community with the past few updates.

It’ll be interesting to see how the community feels once the Intervention releases alongside Warzone 2 Season 3.
