Will 2024’s Call of Duty title, Black Ops 6, launch on Game Pass, and will it be available on the subscription service the day it releases?

Microsoft’s acquisition of gaming giant Activision Blizzard sent shockwaves throughout the industry, not only because of the eye-watering $69 billion price, but also because of the massive gaming franchises that Xbox would now own.

Of course, the biggest of these is the Call of Duty series, which has always been multiplatform.

While we already know that Call of Duty will remain on PlayStation consoles for the foreseeable future, fans are wondering what Xbox’s ownership of the franchise will mean.

One of the biggest questions that COD fans have now is whether the series will come to Game Pass. And if the games arrive on Game Pass, will the latest titles launch on Xbox’s subscription service on day one?

Here’s everything we know about Call of Duty’s future on Game Pass!

Will BO6 Be on Game Pass on Day One?

Yes, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is confirmed to be on Game Pass from day one when it launches later this year.

Xbox has now officially confirmed this via a blog on Xbox Wire.

“We’re excited to confirm that Game Pass members will be able to jump into Call of Duty®: Black Ops 6 on day one with Game Pass,” Megan Spurr, Senior Community Lead reveals.

Rumors have been swirling that Black Ops 6 will be available only in select tiers of Xbox Game Pass, with some suggesting that the service may receive a new pricing model in the coming months. However, Xbox has not confirmed or denied this rumor yet.

This news was broken a little early, as several players received push notifications from the Xbox app prior to the reveal, which read, “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is coming to Game Pass on day one later this year!”
