With Steam being by far the most popular game launcher on PC, gamers are wondering whether Black Ops 6 will be available on it!

While most Call of Duty players are on PlayStation or Xbox, the series has been growing in popularity on PC over the past few years.

However, Activision’s first-party launcher, Battle.net, isn’t exactly popular with gamers, especially compared to the ever-dominant Steam.

This has led to gamers asking whether this year’s Call of Duty title, Black Ops 6, will be released on Steam in addition to Battle.net. Fortunately, we already have the answer!

Will Black Ops 6 Be Available on Steam?

Yes, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be available to purchase on Steam. In fact, the store page for Black Ops 6 is live already, and you can even add it to your wishlist!

This will be a relief for PC gamers who don’t want to have to install Activisions’s Battle.net launcher to play Call of Duty.

Although the past couple of Call of Duty titles released on Steam on day one, this has not always been the case.

In fact, the games from 2019-2021, Modern Warfare, Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard, did not launch on Steam straight away. Initially, they were only available on PC through Battle.net.

However, they have since been released on Steam as well.

As is the case with all Call of Duty titles on PC since 2022, Black Ops 6 will be available on both Steam and Battle.net. On both of these launchers, it will appear as DLC under the Call of Duty HQ application.

Additionally, this year’s entry will be available through the Xbox PC app for the first time.

This is because Treyarch has confirmed that Black Ops 6 will be on Game Pass on day one. Therefore, even if your preferred launcher is Steam, the Xbox app will be the place to pay Call of Duty for most PC gamers.
