Microsoft owns Call of Duty publisher Activision now, which has led fans to wonder whether Black Ops 6 will be coming to PlayStation consoles!

Microsoft’s eye-watering $69 billion acquisition of Activision gave the company full control over some of the biggest franchises in gaming, and they don’t get any bigger than Call of Duty.

Historically, the Call of Duty series has been released on both PlayStation and Xbox consoles. However, now that the series is under the Xbox umbrella, some fans are concerned that this will no longer be the case.

After all, surely Microsoft would want to make Call of Duty an Xbox exclusive?

Fortunately, we know the answer as to whether the next entry in the Call of Duty series, Black Ops 6, will be coming to PlayStation. And it’s good news for PS4 and PS5 owners!

Will Black Ops 6 Be Xbox Exclusive?

No, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will not be exclusive to Xbox consoles. It will release on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC.

Despite Microsoft purchasing Call of Duty publisher Activision last year, all Call of Duty games will remain multiplatform for the foreseeable future.

As part of the takeover deal of Activision Blizzard, Microsoft signed a deal with Sony to keep the Call of Duty series on PlayStation for the next 10 years. This means that COD fans can continue to play the series on their preferred console for the next decade!

Furthermore, Call of Duty games on Xbox will not feature exclusive content or early access compared to PlayStation.
