The Fortnite OG Battle Pass contains incredible remixes of iconic skins from the past – but why is it only 50 Tiers long?
Fortnite OG takes Epic Games’ Battle Royale back to the past, with a return to the Chapter 1 map and a resurgence of past weapons and mechanics.
But fans who want to grind the OG Battle Pass to unlock all the new remixes will quickly notice that it’s over a little sooner than anticipated.
Why the Battle Pass Is So Short
The Fortnite OG Battle Pass has only 50 Tiers (instead of the usual 100) because the new season is only one month long.
The Fortnite OG Battle Pass expires on December 2 at 7 PM PT / 10 PM ET, which is in .

With less than half the time available to complete the pass, Epic Games wants to give players a chance to actually finish it.
Typically a Fortnite season lasts around 70-100 days with a 100 Tier Battle Pass. However, as Fortnite OG will only last for 30 days, you’ll actually need to progress the 50 Tier Battle Pass even faster than usual!
There’s still plenty of grinding available for players who finish the pass early. Skins such as Lil Split, Renegade Lynx, and Omegarok all have alt styles to unlock via additional missions.
Less Content, Same Price
Unfortunately, the Fortnite OG Battle Pass still costs the usual 950 V-Bucks despite being half as long as the standard passes.
Thankfully, you can still earn up to 1,000 V-Bucks for completing the premium pass, giving you a chance to earn your money back.
And Fortnite Crew members will get the OG Pass included as part of their monthly subscription as usual.

In fact, this is by far the best way to unlock the OG Pass! Purchasing Fortnite Crew for just $12 will net you both this Battle Pass and presumably the Chapter 5 Season 1 pass too!
Since this season is so short, the benefit of your month of additional content should carry over to next season, getting you not only two Crew skins, but also 2000 V-Bucks and both Battle Passes.
Epic Games hasn’t confirmed this method will work, but judging by how the subscription usually lets you claim two Crew Packs per month, we see no reason why it wouldn’t.
