Players hoping to catch the new Legendary, Munkidori, in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s DLC, The Teal Mask, are in luck.

Munkidori is one of the Loyal Three, a trio of new Legendaries introduced in The Teal Mask DLC who are exclusive to the Kitakami region.

Below, we’ve outlined exactly where you can find Munkidori, his weaknesses, stats, moveset, and whether or not it can be Shiny.

Where to Catch Munkidori Location in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Munkidori can be found in Wisteria Pond, near Wistful Fields, located at the bottom left corner of the map. It is the exact same location as where you initially encountered it during the story.

Munkidori cannot be caught the first time you encounter it during the DLC’s story. You will need to have completed The Teal Mask and seen “To be continued…” before it will spawn in the overworld.

Munkidori is located at the lake found in the red circle.

Once you have, head to Wistful Fields and interact with Munkidori in order to start the battle.

It’s highly recommended you bring Pokemon that can inflict status effects, as Munkidori’s catch rate is quite low. Additionally, make sure to stock up on plenty of Ultra Balls and Timer Balls.

Does Munkidori Respawn in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?

Yes, Munkidori will respawn in the overworld after roughly 10 minutes if you defeat it in battle before catching it. This is the case with all Legendaries in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Of course, if you don’t fancy waiting around for that long, be sure to save just before starting a battle with it, as that way you can simply reset your save and try again immediately.
