The popular Plunder playlist is no longer in Warzone, prompting calls for it to return. Here’s when it’s coming back.
Warzone Season 4 Reloaded reception has largely been positive, but recently one popular game mode went missing.
It didn’t take long for the complaints to beginning rolling after Plunder was no longer an option in the Warzone menu. After all, the fan favorite playlist is a great choice for those looking to level up their guns without resorting to playing Vanguard.
What’s more, it’s a more relaxing, large-scale game mode that many players enjoy while warming up, or when they don’t fancy the stress of a battle royale match.

Warzone Players Demand Return of Plunder Playlist
Already, many players are taking to the Warzone online forums to complain about their favorite game mode going missing.
“I really wish they would stop removing Plunder,” Reddit user SHRED-209 writes. “BR and Resurgence is just way too sweaty for me. Plunder is always a fun time when I just want to mess around and chill for the night.”
It’s a sentiment that many users seem to share, with several posts made on the topic in the last 24 hours alone.
What’s more, one fan believes they’ve found a reason why the game mode is missing in Warzone right now.
“They removed it because it’s a 2xp weekend and they don’t want people farming weapon xp and battle pass xp,” rictor33 suggests.
And while it’s true that the fastest way to level up Warzone guns is in Plunder, we wonder if that’s really why Activision opted to take out the mode.

When Is Warzone Plunder Coming Back?
The good news is that Plunder Quads is returning to Warzone on Tuesday, August 16 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST.
UPDATE: Plunder was initially set to return on Thursday, August 11, but has been delayed until August 16 instead.
2 days later on August 18, Plunder will be replaced by Golden Plunder, a game mode that is very similar the iconic mode but with the following differences:
- Player Count Increased by 20% to 120.
- Players Drop More Cash on Death.
- Victory Cash Requirement is $5,000,000, up from $1 million.
- ATMs to loot and Golden Keycards to Open Bunkers are Available.
And there’s one more reason why Warzone players have been moving away from Battle Royale modes recently.
