The first two episodes of Pokemon Horizons have just aired, giving viewers a glance at not only the story but also a brand-new Pokemon that is hidden inside Liko’s pendant.
We’re going to break down everything we know about the mysterious Pokemon inside of Liko’s pendant and what it could mean for the future of Pokemon.
What Is the Pokemon Inside the Pendant?
While the Pokemon inside Liko’s pendant remains unconfirmed, it appears to be a pre-evolved Terapagos, the Terastallized turtle from Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
Terapagos is the Legendary Pokemon from The Indigo Disc, the second piece of upcoming DLC for Scarlet & Violet.
You can actually see the moment when the new Pokemon appears in the first episode yourself! Just check out our handy guide on how to watch Pokemon Horizons.
The Pokemon Twitter account recently posted about this mysterious Pokemon, stating that its aura “is reminiscent of the Legendary Pokémon Terapagos.”
The tweet also confirms that it will appear in the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC releasing for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
The new Pokemon and Terapagos are, of course, both turtle-like creatures that have prominent Terastalised features across their bodies. They also have the same color scheme and very similar faces.

What Does the Pokemon Inside Liko’s Pendant Do?
It appears that the Pokemon inside of Liko’s pendant is capable of creating a glowing hexagonal bubble that protects her from harm.
This is evident in the first episode of Pokemon Horizons when Liko attempts to escape from the villainous Explorers by leaping off a rooftop but is interrupted by Ceruledge’s flame attack.
Fortunately, just before the attack hits Liko, her pendant begins to glow and suddenly turns into a glowing green bubble that protects her and Sprigatito from the attack.
Before the bubble disappears, Liko comes face to face with the new Pokemon, who seemingly just protected her.
Of course, so much more explosive action happened in the first episode of Pokemon Horizons, which you can read all about in case you missed it.
