Call of Duty: Warzone’s Haunting of Verdansk event is about to go live, and players are preparing to go Trick or Treat.
The Halloween update for Warzone is finally here, and it brings a range of spooky new content to the game. Besides the likes of Leatherface and Jigsaw arriving in the battle royale, players can now take part in a popular Halloween pastime.
In the darkness of Verdansk at night, Warzone squads can go Trick or Treating. Doing so will allow you to earn a selection of new, exclusive items with no cost attached.
There’s even a special reward for those players that manage to gather all the new unlocks this Halloween. But in order to get your hands on the creepy items, you’ll need to know where to look.
How to Trick or Treat in Warzone
In Warzone, players can now find a series of boxes scattered around Verdansk. These containers weren’t here before, and they contain the exclusive Halloween items that players will want to gather.
Lucky boxes will contain Rare, Epic, and Legendary items, that are unlikely to stick around after the event ends on November 3. Once they’ve found all the unlocks, players will even earn a Legendary Assault Rifle Blueprint to show off their dedication.
That said, some boxes might contain nothing more than a “terrifying fright” intended to startle players. True to its name, Trick or Treating comes with its own risks.
Never fear though, you won’t be harmed by the contents of the Halloween boxes. A new Call of Duty blog does describe the ‘Trick’ as being “horrifying both visually and audibly.”
Those who are faint of heart might want to stay away from Warzone this Halloween season.
Where to Find Warzone’s Trick or Treat Locations
We already have an idea as to where to look when Trick or Treating. Players will have to scour the following locations to get their hands on the new goodies.
Sector One – North
- Gora Dam
- Arklov Peak Military Base
- Karst River Quarry
Sector Two – West
- Verdansk International Airport
- Storage Town
- Atlas Superstore
- Zhokov Boneyard
Sector Three – Southwest
- Novia Grazna Hills
Sector Four – Central and South
- BCH TV Station
- Verdansk Stadium
Sector Five – East
- Gorengrad Lumber Yard
- Port of Verdansk
- Zordaya Prison Complex (Gulag)
The Trick or Treat supply boxes can be found in every game mode in Warzone. Therefore, players would have better luck searching for the drops in Plunder, where respawns are easier.
However, if you want to take a look for the loot in Zombie Royale, that’s your choice. Just be warned that the added jumpscares are certain to make the game mode extra terrifying.
Here’s everything new coming in Modern Warfare & Warzone’s Haunting of Verdansk event. The night-time map is a nice change of pace, but rumors suggest that a new Warzone map for Cold War could also be coming soon.
