Activision has hinted that year 2 of Warzone could feature more live events and the end of Verdansk.
Live events are becoming a staple of the battle royale genre. However, Warzone needs to step up its game.
Luckily for fans, Activision has hinted that there may be some very exciting events coming to Warzone in the second year of the game.
Verdansk Destruction Event
Activision mentioned briefly what could happen to Verdansk in their latest blog post and hinted at a new live event for Warzone.
This post also introduced the new Warzone Report feature which lets players see their stats.
"It seems that after a year of smooth sailing, Warzone may have to prepare for a threat never before seen in Verdansk, and any Operators who wish to survive might need to save the celebration for another time and get back in the fight before it’s too late."Activision
We already know that the zombies are going to spread across Verdansk. This could then lead to the leaked upcoming Plague game mode which features Zombies and a nuke.
However, we still don't know any details about the 'End of Verdansk' nuke live event that has been teased in-game ever since Warzone launched.
Warzone Year 2 Live Events
Another line in the blog post also hints that Warzone players could experience more live events in Warzone year 2.
"With Season Two’s story continuing through the game’s one-year milestone, we cannot wait to share with you what’s in store for the year to come… but it’ll be better for you to experience it for yourself."Activision
Hopefully, this hints that there will be more events in year 2 of the game. This could potentially start with the beginning of Season 3.
Find out when Cold War and Warzone Season 3 starts. Players are also hoping that Season 3 will come with a new map for Warzone - this would be the perfect time for a live event too.
Meanwhile, a member of the Warzone community has revealed how SBMM works. Let's hope you don't get matched against cheaters as hacking is the worst it's ever been in Warzone.
