New data-mined information has revealed how airplanes might function in Warzone’s WW2 map update which is rumored to tease the upcoming Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Recently the rumor regarding Call of Duty: Vanguard has been on everyone’s minds. Interestingly enough, Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Alpha has already leaked as codename Slipstream. However, as of yet, Vanguard has not yet been officially announced by Activision.
Despite this, it hasn’t stopped speculation regarding the WW2-themed map update for Warzone. It is believed that the map update will be used to tease Vanguard once it is officially announced. Furthermore, a recent leak has suggested the Vanguard map will be significantly larger than Verdansk and will feature new vehicles.
Interestingly, this does correlate with another recent Warzone leak which suggests planes are coming to Battle Royale. Now, it appears that new data-mined information may have further corroborated this rumor and planes may in fact be coming to Warzone, with new and exciting mechanics.
Here is a rundown of everything we have learned in the data mine for Warzone’s WW2 map update for Vanguard. However, bear in mind that the Warzone Vanguard map is only a rumor at this point.
Warzone WW2 Map Datamine Reveals New Airplane Details
A data-mine of the latest Season 4 Reloaded update for Warzone may have accidentally revealed new airplane details. Whilst the Season 4 Reloaded update has made some huge weapon nerfs, it appears that it may have also given a glimpse into how airplanes will operate in the rumored Warzone Vanguard map.
The leak itself comes from ZestyCODLeaks over on Twitter, who has proven to be a reliable source for all things COD. Interestingly, the data-mine has shown off new visual effects for the WW2 map, hinting at what we can expect.
Following on from this, Zesty highlights that VFX effects were found for the Gas Circle within the Vanguard map. Although perhaps not the most exciting news it does mean that the WW2 map will still feature the iconic Gas Circle and not something different.
Furthermore, according to Zesty, new VFX files were located for Airplane bullets hitting surfaces. This is actually quite revealing as it could suggest airplanes may have guns attached to them, or may even hint at a machine gunner role for airplanes.
