Warzone Verdansk ’84 Lighting & Visibility Fix Coming in Future Update

Warzone developer Raven Software is working on a lighting fix in an upcoming update.

Warzone Season 3 started off with a bang – quite literally. After a nuke struck Verdansk, players transported back to the 1980s to fight in a new iteration of the classic Warzone map.

While most players love all of the new and changed locations in Verdansk ’84, there is one major problem with the map. The visibility is a big issue for many players, however, Raven Software is on the case!

Warzone Verdansk ’84 Lighting Fix Update

Many players are calling the lighting in Verdansk ’84 the biggest problem in Warzone right now. To be honest, it’s hard to disagree with them.

Combined with the terrible lag and freezing issues players are suffering from, Warzone can be very frustrating to play at the moment.

Recently, Raven conducted a Warzone accessibility survey and the issue of lighting and visibility was, once again, brought up. However, the effect of lighting in Warzone was more serious this time and needs to be fixed.

One responder said:

“The new colors are great. However, when going from indoor to outdoor locations the glare has started causing headaches after short periods of time.”

The only way to fix this would be to change the lighting system in Warzone.

Raven Software has since responded to this fan request for a lighting fix in Warzone in a tweet. It says:

Thank you for calling this out! We want our players to feel comfortable while playing #Warzone. We’ve been monitoring this closely and plan on addressing it in an upcoming update.

Hopefully, Raven will make this fix in Warzone sooner rather than later as the lighting really does need to be fixed. With another new developer working on Warzone now, players can expect quicker fixes in the future.

Meanwhile, there have been some secret changes to Warzone. There are now some overpowered optics that reduce recoil, plus there have been some huge bullet velocity changes to sniper rifles.

Also, the number of developers working on Call of Duty will be tripled soon. This will certainly help with Sledgehammer Games’ “next-gen” Call of Duty title.
