Warzone Sykov Meta Is the Worst State the Game Has Ever Been In

New player reports indicate that fans believe Warzone’s new Sykov meta is the worst state the game has ever been in.

It’s been a couple of days since the release of the Warzone’s latest gun and already players are incredibly unhappy. It’s true that the state of Warzone hasn’t been looking good for a while now.

In fact, some players even went as far as to call Warzone Season 2 ‘unplayable’. We don’t think the game is quite that bad, or at least it wasn’t up until now.

In case you missed it, this insane new full-auto Akimbo Sykov loadout is taking over Warzone. Every player appears to be running the pistols, which have HALF the Time to Kill of the overpowered FFAR.

When there’s that big of an advantage to using a weapon, you either play the meta or you lose in Warzone. And because of this, many users are finding ways to unlock the Warzone Sykov fast, just to keep up with the competition.

Warzone Sykov Meta Is Worse Than the DMR Meta

There are some players out there that believe that Warzone’s Sykov meta is actually worse than the notorious DMR meta.

Despite the DMR being able to shred whole Warzone squads at long range, this Sykov loadout will do possibly even more damage up close.

In a new post on the Warzone subreddit, fans discuss the current state of their favorite battle royale game. And it’s not just the new pistols that have them riled up.

Also brought up was the new Warzone broken buyback respawn height, as well as the popularity of the still-powerful burst rifles and FFAR.

Although a nerf for Warzone’s overpowered Sykov, AUG, FFAR, and more is on the way, it couldn’t get here soon enough. Meanwhile, players are already finding a new overpowered Warzone skin to switch to if Roze’s all-black cosmetic gets too heavy a change.

“I’m truly bummed because I miss the days when this game wasn’t so meta focused,” Reddit user cbpa07 writes. “You used to be able to play games with 4-5 different classes and have a chance at a win. It used to be fun to make different builds and use new guns.”

Taking a look at all the Warzone metas in Year 1, it’s true that there were always popular guns. However, in recent history, the meta is changing based on which guns are truly broken in-game.

Many players still believe that all Black Ops Cold War guns should be removed from Warzone completely. However, these new Sykov pistols are actually Modern Warfare weapons this time around.

Perhaps Activision is still aiming to drive out its Modern Warfare player base and get them to move to Cold War. Either that or Call of Duty’s weapon balancing team is taking a backseat.

Here’s what a Warzone analyst believes the Season 3 meta weapons will look like. We’d get leveling up these guns early if we were you. Meanwhile, a new trailer reveals our first official look at the upcoming 1980s Warzone map.
