Warzone Season 6 is finally coming to an end, ushering in a new Cold War era for the popular battle royale. However, there is still more content set to come to Modern Warfare.
Those who enjoy Warzone Season 6 only have a few days left to spend in the battle royale as we know it. In fact, it appears that the season is about to come to an end as Cold War prepares to merge with Modern Warfare.
Warzone Season 6 launched last month to mixed reviews. The new underground system certainly made traveling around the map easier, but the latest season is plagued with many game-breaking bugs too.
Now, love it or hate it, the end date for Warzone Season 6 is finally here. We now know exactly how long we have to spend in Verdansk before everything changes in Cold War Season 1.
Warzone Season 6 End Date
A new timer has appeared in the Warzone Battle Pass menu, revealing the end of Season 6. At the time of writing, almost 2 weeks are remaining in the Battle Pass.
From this countdown, we know that the exact end time for Warzone Season 6 is December 7, 11 PM PT / December 8, 2 AM ET.
This checks out with what we currently know about Black Ops Cold War Season 1 starting on December 10. As it stands, it looks as though there will be a small window between the seasons as Activision prepares for the transition.
However, just because Black Ops Cold War is here doesn't mean that it's the end of the line for Modern Warfare fans.
Infinity Ward Promises More Modern Warfare Content Is Coming
Despite the year of Modern Warfare coming to an end, it seems support for the game will continue. Under a new shared Black Ops Cold War Battle Pass, Modern Warfare players will continue to earn rewards for playing.
What's more, an Infinity Ward developer confirms that new content for the game is coming. However, what the official name of the additional content is, or what type of content we should expect is unclear.
Warzone will, of course, continue to update but we don't yet know how Cold War will be integrated into the battle royale. Rumors of a new Warzone map for Cold War have been circulating for months, but we'll have to wait to find out more.
According to a new Activision patent, Modern Warfare fans will soon be able to share Call of Duty loadouts on social media. Of course, there won't likely be nearly as much content as Black Ops Cold War is receiving.
After all, the new release is getting a new take on Black Ops Cold War's Nuketown tonight. And there's much more coming later on as the game enters its first official season.
