Call of Duty Warzone Update 1.40 Patch Notes
Here is everything new that is coming in the Warzone Season 5 update:
Season 5 ‘Rush’ Gulag
First up, there will be a brand-new Gulag in Warzone Season Five, but it will be familiar to long-time Call of Duty fans. This is because it is based on the classic, paintball-themed map, Rush.
Combat Scout Perk
The Season 5 update is also introducing two new Warzone-specific Perks, the first being Combat Scout. This will be perfect for aggressive players who like to push enemies.
The second Perk coming in the Warzone Season 5 update is Tempered. This is great for players who want to tank more damage and armor up more quickly.
Find out all of the details about the Tempered Perk in Warzone.
New Broadcast Station POIs
Additionally, there will be new Broadcast Station POIs added to Warzone’s Verdansk map in the Season 5 update. What they do is not known yet, however, they will play a major part in the upcoming Warzone event called ‘The Numbers’.
The first new weapon in Warzone Season 5 is the Tec-9. This SMG will be a powerhouse at range, thanks to its low recoil.
EM2 Assault Rifle
Warzone Season 5 also has a new assault rifle to unlock – the EM2. This fully automatic assault rifle has a slow fire rate, but will be very easy to control with its built-in optic.
You’ll want to learn how to unlock the EM2 as soon as possible!
Cane Melee Weapon
For all you Warzone players who like to eliminate enemies in style, the Cane might be the melee weapon for you. Although, bringing a cane to a gunfight isn’t usually recommended…
Last, but certainly not least, is the new Warzone Season 5 Operator, Kitsune. A cybersecurity expert and master thief from Japan, she now works for Perseus.

Meanwhile, Warzone is “a nightmare” for casual players. Let’s hope that the Season 5 update makes the game more enjoyable for the average player.
However, even the top Warzone streamer in the world has had enough. That’s right, NICKMERCS has quit Warzone to play Apex Legends.
Finally, not all hope is lost yet though. Popular Call of Duty YouTuber JGOD believes Warzone isn’t dying after all.
