Warzone Season 3 Reloaded: Stim Shot Receives a Huge Nerf After Update

Warzone’s Season 3 Reloaded update comes with a large number of changes in the game. Including the awaited Stim Shot nerf, which has caused controversy for many seasons.

There are essentially unlimited uses for the Stim Shot in Warzone, and it’s known to be an overpowered item for pro players.

The Heartbeat Sensor was always the meta pick before Caldera. But the Season 1 update nerfed the heartbeat sensor and gave Stims a huge buff.

Players are still finding the meta weapons, as Raven Software has buffed and nerfed many weapons. Many players are upset after the update for forcing Vanguard weapons into the Meta.

Although the Heartbeat Sensor is still a popular tactical to equip, the Stim is a close option.

However, with the latest update bringing a ton of changes to Warzone, the Stim received a huge nerf.

Huge Stim Shot Nerf after Warzone Season 3 Reloaded Update

Warzone’s stim has been a powerful tactical item for a long time now, especially in the hands of a skilled player. Many Warzone players have been demanding the Stim Nerf for the past two seasons.

Stims used to give players the ability to gain speed boost, allowing them to be able to ‘Super Slide’ which is a longer and faster slide.

Season 3 Reloaded brings many changes from an updated squad HUD, a new serpentine perk, and more. Alongside the Stim Shot nerf, which removes the ability to ‘Super Slide’, having players wondering if it’s still worth equipping the item.

In the official patch notes, they said the following:

  • Stim Adjustments | All Maps & Modes In-Season
  • Slide modifier has been reduced
    • The slide modifier was simply too extreme. While we believe that sliding movement should be buffed when a Player is using a Stim, it still needs to fit within limits.
  • Added a Weapon damage (received) interruption effect
    • If a Player receives Weapon damage, the healing effect will be interrupted. The previous mechanic allowed Players to repeatedly heal themselves while actively taking damage – which is not the intent of this tool.

They also add:

“We have enjoyed watching the recent shift in the use of Tacticals where Stims have become more commonplace and offer new, high-skill plays. That said, the above are two areas are where we have felt it necessary to finetune the balance.”

In essence, the previous increased slide speed after the use of a stim shot is no longer a feature. Combining this with the delayed healing effect makes this a major nerf.

Many Warzone players that enjoy playing aggressively will have to find other ways to do so. But it’s not all bad news, as the new Serpentine perk it’s a huge change for the Battle Royale.
