Warzone Pacific: Players Report Crashes & Freezing in Caldera

Players dropping into Caldera are reporting Warzone Pacific crashes and freezing issues. So much for a smooth launch!

The long-awaited new Warzone map is finally here and players can’t wait to drop in Caldera. However, there’s a pretty big problem.

Somehow, hackers ruining the new Caldera map already isn’t the biggest issue with the Warzone Pacific update. In fact, some players can’t even play the game at all.

This is thanks to some terrible crashing and freezing issues following the Warzone Pacific update and players are getting very annoyed about it already!

Warzone Pacific Map – Crashes & Freezing Issues on PS4, PS5, Xbox & PC

In addition to the terrible graphics and texture bugs in Warzone Pacific right now, players are now reporting that their game is crashing.

A new post on the Warzone subreddit highlights a major problem that many players are suffering from right now.

Since the update, Warzone has reportedly been freezing or crashing unexpectedly when trying to play on the new map.

Warzone player u/Lifeeststwange plays Warzone on PS5 and claims that both he and his friend have had Warzone crash after dropping into Caldera.

While these reported crashes could have just been a strange coincidence, many other players are reporting this issue on other platforms too. PlayStation, Xbox, and PC players alike are suffering from these crashes!

UPDATE: Warzone Pacific: How to Stop Crashes & Fix Glitches in Caldera

What makes this matter worse is that Rebirth Island is going to be removed from Warzone. This means you’ll have to play on the buggy new map and risk crashes and freezing.

The cause of this issue is not known right now, so you’ll just have to hope this doesn’t happen to you. Hopefully, Raven Software can fix this stability issue soon before it affects many more players.

However, Raven Software will be very busy right now. After all, the developer needs to nerf the overpowered Akimo Top Break pistols.

Plus, Raven is also working on the upcoming Krampus in Christmas limited-time game mode. Of course, this will be coming around the festive season.

Meanwhile, if you can get over the crashes and freezing in Warzone Pacific, there’s a great new map to explore. Be sure to parachute to the top Caldera landing spots in Warzone or you could head straight towards the best loot location in Caldera.
