Warzone Season 3 has brought a brand-new developer to the game!
Many different studios have helped develop Warzone including Call of Duty mainstays Infinity Ward and Treyarch. Since the beginning of Black Ops Cold War Season 1, support developer Raven Software has been in charge of all of the Warzone updates and balancing changes.
However, another Activision studio will now be assisting with the development of Warzone for the foreseeable future.
Who is the New Warzone Developer?
Warzone Season 3 has brought a load of changes including the Verdansk ’84 map with loads of new POIs. However, the development team for Warzone has also had a shake-up with Season 2.
The Activision studio that will be assisting in the development of Warzone from now on is Toys For Bob. They have been making games since 1992 and have recently developed the Skylanders series as well as the Spyro Reignited trilogy.
New Warzone developer Toys for Bob tweeted:
“Toys for Bob is proud to support development for Season 3 of Call of Duty Warzone, and look forward to more to come.”
This shows that Raven Software will still be in control of Warzone’s development. However, an additional studio assisting the future updates for the game can only be a good thing.
No matter what part of Warzone new developer Toys For Bob is working on, it will likely help the studios collaboratively create more content for the upcoming seasons. Activision said Warzone players can expect more live events in year 2 of the game, so that could be it.
Despite the new developer, Raven Software is doing a great job on its own at the moment. Warzone players absolutely love the new Season 3 weapon balancing.
And even the most overpowered weapons, the CR-56 AMAX and FARA 83 are being nerfed soon. This could help the game have the best balance ever.
Finally, a new leak has revealed that Warzone could be getting a new ‘Red Door’ fast travel system soon.
