Warzone New 80s Verdansk Map POIs Leak Ahead of Reveal

Despite no official reveal from Activision, we already know all about the upcoming 80s Verdansk Warzone map and its POIs – thanks to a new leak.

It’s an interesting time to be a Warzone fan. Right now, the battle royale’s fanbase is barely hanging on as we wait for any news about the upcoming map that’ll replace Verdansk.

In case you missed it, the full Ural Mountains Warzone map leaked online earlier this week. But despite players getting excited to make the switch after a year in the same location, things aren’t looking good.

In fact, it appears that instead of the Black Ops-themed map, Warzone players are getting a 1980’s variant of the Verdansk map in a future update.

And now, more information about the time jump is surfacing online as we wait for confirmation from Activision.

Warzone 1980s Verdansk Map POIs Leaked

According to a new leak, we now know what to expect in terms of Points of Interest (POIs) when it comes to Warzone’s 1980s-themed Verdansk map.

Of course, being a past version of Verdansk, the map can’t be too different from the modern-day variant we know all too well. But with that said, there are clearly a few changes in the works to differentiate the map from standard Verdansk.

However, we wonder whether or not these alterations will be enough to keep players interested in Warzone for long. The game certainly needs a boost after Warzone Season 2 Reloaded was the worst update in history.

All New Locations in Warzone’s 80s Verdansk Map

According to ZestyCODLeaks on Twitter, the Warzone Verdansk 80s map POIs include the following new locations:

  • Bridge
  • Summit
  • Crossing

On top of this, most POIs are remaining the same in Verdansk, albeit with a revamped theme. Locations like Airfield, Boneyard, Superstore, Stadium and more will all be returning.

Zesty is also able to reveal a potential release date for the 80s Verdansk map in Warzone – and it’s much later than you’d expect.

However, before that, we have to get through the incoming Warzone Plague mode, as nukes come to halt the zombie invasion. Our best guess is that somehow this is going to send players back into the past.

There are also rumors that we’ll need to take cover in this new night variant of Warzone’s Rebirth Island for a while.
