Two fan-favorite maps are getting a Winter-themed overhaul for the holiday season:
Once again, Shipment is getting a holiday variant, Shipmas, perfect for some Christmas grinding. Thankfully, it’s notably less ugly than Vanguard’s take on a holiday-themed Shipment.
Highrise is ready to bring in the new year with its holiday decorations and nighttime setting. Even the offices have had a makeover, as employees celebrate the festive season.
For those looking for a change of pace, there are two new limited-time modes introduced in the CODMAS event:
A take on Infected where zombies resemble Santa Claus, players will fight to be the last uninfected player left standing.
An epic snowball battle with Gunfight rules, players can gather snowballs from around the map and battle it out in snow warfare. Grab the Golden Snowball from the center of the map for a one-hit kill!
Slay Ride Resurgence Explained
Warzone players have a chance to get festive too, thanks to the new Slay Ride Resurgence playlist.
This new Christmas-themed mode brings Santa to the Urzikstan train, allowing players to take on the AI boss to earn powerful in-game loot and an exclusive Emblem.
What’s more, players can decorate Christmas trees in-game to get high-quality loot.
Six Deck the Halls capture points are now live around the Warzone map, and capturing the area will not only decorate the tree – it’ll lead to better loot drops!
Stand near the tree to begin decorating it. Get all the way to Tier 3 and you’ll earn the best possible weapons, powerful Killstreaks, and huge cash bundles.
In addition, Activision teases that there are other CODMAS secrets in Urzikstan to look out for!
What About Zombies?
MWZ (AKA MW3 Zombies) isn’t missing out on all the fun. Although Zombie Santa isn’t coming to the mode for some reason, other festive changes are already in-game.
Many enemies are getting a new holiday-themed variant, including Reindeer Hellhounds, and a Santa-hat-wearing Mega Abomination.
In addition, there’s new CODMAS-themed infil music, and snowballs capable of dealing massive damage to bosses are scattered around the map.
