Warzone & Modern Warfare Season 4 Weapon Tuning Update Coming Soon

A new weapon tuning update is coming to Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare in Season 4, Infinity Ward has confirmed.

Joe Cecot, Co-Design Director of Multiplayer at Infinity Ward, has announced when the next set of weapon tuning will arrive in Modern Warfare and Warzone.

In response to one fan asking when the Grau is going to be nerfed, Cecot says “We have a batch of weapon tuning in the works for the mid season update. Patch notes will outline when they drop.”

It will presumably headline some of the post-season content referenced in the official roadmap as well, including the new Chesire Park multiplayer map and Juggernaut Royale playlist in Warzone.

The mid-season update is expected to launch towards the beginning of July. This is because the duration of each season is eight weeks and the Modern Warfare Season 4 end date is currently scheduled for early August.

Grau 5.56 Nerf in Upcoming Warzone Season 4 Update?

You can expect the next group of weapon nerfs and buffs to launch in the middle of Season 4. Although Cecot hasn’t addressed the player’s tweet directly regarding the Grau 5.56, it’s fair to say that it will almost certainly receive a nerf in the upcoming patch.

Warzone Grau 5.56

The Grau is arguably one of the most overpowered weapons in Call of Duty Warzone, and most players have it as their custom loadout due to this. It’s unstoppable at a long-range courtesy of its high damage and low recoil.

In addition to the Grau, there’s also plenty of other weapons that will be changed. While lots of players might argue that other weapons are too overpowered and deserve more attention, some will claim they are not powerful enough.

Season Four of Modern Warfare and Warzone is available now.
