One Warzone player has had enough of hackers in Warzone and is getting their revenge with some fake game-breaking cheats.
Cheating in Warzone is probably the battle royale’s biggest issue. But when Activision refuses to do anything about the problem, one Warzone modder is taking matters into their own hands.
And in recent weeks, even console players are running into cheaters on a daily basis. Something has to be done, and one Warzone modder is already taking action against the malicious players.
In the past, we’ve seen Warzone players get incredible in-game revenge on hackers. And now, one user is going above and beyond to punish those who would cheat in-game.
Warzone Fake Hacks Ruins the Game for Cheaters
In an effort to get revenge on cheaters, these Warzone fake hacks are ruining the game for those who would try and get an unfair advantage.
In a new post to the CODWarzone subreddit, Reddit user alextheloser168 claims to have come up with the perfect solution for hackers. After growing impatient waiting for Activision to fix its game, the Warzone fan took matters into their own hands.
The user created their own mod for Warzone that’s disguised as an aimbot/wallhack software. They then promoted the cheat with a YouTube video and got their friends to leave positive comments on the link.
Unfortunately for those would-be cheaters, the Warzone mod doesn’t actually do what it says on the tin. Instead, the software will simply play an incredibly loud alarm when in use.
You can hear the alarm for yourself below but be warned, it’s extremely loud:
The only way to stop the sound playing is to either disable the process or reboot your PC. And so far, more than 45 users have downloaded the mod for themselves.
Forcing Warzone Cheaters to Reinstall the Game
Many of the commenters on the video are questioning why their mods aren’t working and instead their games are playing a loud alarm sound. However, alextheloser168 then plays dumb, telling the Warzone cheaters to reinstall their games and try again.
“This is way too much fun,” the Reddit user writes. “I plan to make other sh*t like this with different names, languages and accounts and plant malicious shit like this wherever people download cheats and sh*t. You may think I’m cruel but I don’t care. I just want to play Warzone in peace.”
We’re sure many Warzone players would agree that these would-be cheaters are getting off lightly by having to reinstall their games. Perhaps Activision should take notes from modders like these.
Right now, players are missing the ‘good old days’ of Warzone, before all the issues. We can’t imagine what players will think of the new WW2 Warzone map with planes, tanks, and boats.
If leaks are to be believed, it’s going to be quite the change from the game we know now. Early leaks suggest that Call of Duty: Vanguard will be a disaster at launch, even with a new Warzone map.
Some Warzone cheaters can now force dev errors on other players right now. But is a proper Warzone anti-cheat not even possible?
