Despite what some reports suggest, one established Warzone leaker is assuring fans that a WW2 Vanguard map is indeed coming next year.
In case you've missed it, the internet is abuzz with leaks about Call of Duty 2021. Some people are excited, others are devoting effort to hating a game that's yet to have an official announcement.
And then there are those that are paying more attention to the insane new Battlefield 6 leaks instead.
If you haven't already seen, here's what we know so far about Call of Duty: WW2 Vanguard. But with a Second World War setting on the way, many fans are concerned about what that means for Warzone.
After all, the poor integration of Black Ops Cold War's weapons has led to Warzone Season 2 being called unplayable. And many users want Cold War guns removed from Warzone completely.
Now with the next title heading even further back in history, how would World War 2 weaponry fit into Warzone's battle royale? Thankfully, one leaker is giving us some much-needed confirmation.
Call of Duty: WW2 Vanguard Will Have a New Warzone Map
In a new report surfacing online, VGC suggests WW2 Vanguard will not actually have its own Warzone map, due to time constraints. But one established leaker is disputing these claims.
After all, with WW2 Vanguard returning to the Modern Warfare engine, the new COD title is better suited to Warzone than Cold War.
But on top of that, leaker Tom Henderson is confirming that he's heard about a new WW2 Vanguard Warzone map coming in 2022. But if the game is getting its own arena, chances are it'll be heavily-themed around the Second World War.
In the past, we've heard about every new Call of Duty game getting its own Warzone map. Read more about that here.
Henderson believes that this leak wasn't incorrect, and WW2 Vanguard is getting a Warzone map in 2022. However, he understands that it could be a smaller installment like the Cold War Rebirth Island map.
With that in mind, we imagine the plan is still for Infinity Ward to release Modern Warfare 2 in 2022. And alongside the highly-anticipated title we're certain to see yet another Warzone map coming.
In the meantime, here's the first image of next month's new Warzone map!
However, with Warzone's TTK changing dramatically since launch, players are already worried about the state of the battle royale.
And with Cold War and Modern Warfare having less Multiplayer content than ever before, we're worried to see how Vanguard follows this trend.
