Shotguns haven’t been meta for a long time, but this insane one-shot shotgun is tearing up Warzone right now.
A few months back, the fire-breathing shotguns were a little too meta in Warzone, leading to calls for Raven Software to remove Dragon’s Breath from the game completely. Since that point, the powerful close-range weapons haven’t seen much love in the game.
Of course, because shotguns encourage camping inside buildings, this hasn’t led to any real complaints from fans. But now, new testing reveals that there’s still a shotgun capable of dishing out one-shot kills in Warzone.
But despite the gun’s incredible kill potential, this loadout isn’t as broken as some of the past metas. And you’ll still need to be smart if you want to use it, especially as no glint snipers are currently taking over Warzone.
Warzone’s Best Shotgun in Season 2 Reloaded Deals One-Shot Kills
Warzone’s best close-range weapon in Season 2 Reloaded is here, with the Origin 12 slug shotgun.
In a new video by the ‘Gun Doctor’ P4wnyhof, the Warzone researcher reveals a new shotgun loadout that can one-shot kill. At a range of 2.1 meters or less, the Origin 12 slug rounds make the weapon capable of a one-shot headshot kill.
What’s more, up to 25 meters, the Origin 12 can still down an enemy in 2 shots. That puts it at the same level as this insane JAK-12 weapon loadout in Warzone, meaning that the game’s best shotgun just got competition.
However, P4wnyhof reveals that this new Warzone shotgun is actually a high-skill weapon to run.
“You have to know what you’re doing, you have to be aware that when you’re shooting slugs, you’re actually shooting tiny bullets, you’re not shooting a shotgun anymore. But you have insane range.”
Best Origin 12 Shotgun Loadout in Warzone Season 2 Reloaded
According to the Gun Doctor himself, here’s how to set up the best Origin 12 loadout in Warzone Season 2.
Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
Laser: 5mW Laser
Optic: PBX Holo 7 Sight
Ammunition: 8 Round Slug Mags
Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape
As you can see, the loadout is a little different from standard shotgun builds. That’s because when you’re using slug rounds, you need to treat the weapon a little more like a mini marksman rifle, rather than a shotgun.
Personally, we’re hoping to see another shotgun join the fun in Warzone at some point. However, given that Warzone Season 3’s new weapons are leaking already, it doesn’t look like there’ll be one anytime soon.
Right now, Warzone zombies are heading to their final locations and teasing the nuke’s release date. If you want to try out the Origin 12 on Verdansk, now could be your final chance.
But according to this new leak, we may be waiting until Season 4 before finally getting a new Warzone map!
