Warzone just got its Season 5 update but players can’t enjoy it due to an abundance of hackers, cheaters, and other issues.
It seems that Warzone is only getting worse and worse where hackers are concerned. Cheating has been a major issue in the Battle Royale for more than a few months not, and Activision doesn’t seem to care.
Recently, 50,000 more Warzone cheaters got a ban for their actions. But with Warzone being free-to-play, malicious users simply need to make a new account and they’re back in the game again.
And while new leaks promise a Warzone anti-cheat is coming with Vanguard in 2021, we’ll believe it when we see it. Because at this point, hackers have been getting bolder for months on end.
Many fans are quitting Warzone after getting too burnt out with the game right now. And even Warzone’s biggest streamer is leaving for Apex Legends.
Warzone Season 5 – The Worst Update Ever?
Is Warzone Season 5 the Battle Royale’s worst update ever? The game’s community certainly seems to think so.
In a new post on the CODWarzone subreddit, fans discuss the effect of cheaters on the free-to-play game. And on top of those issues, it seems that players think Season 5 could be Warzone’s worst update yet.
Many users also dislike the new Perk that gives players free wallhacks in Warzone! It’s nice to see a new Perk meta evolving, but now players will simply switch to Cold Blooded instead of EOD to negate the issue.
On top of that, it appears that players are disappointed with the lack of content in Season 5. Although we’ve got a new Numbers mid-season event on the way, the beginning of the update is certainly a little dull.
What’s more, it seems that Activision might care more about the new Vanguard reveal in Warzone than it does about the state of the game right now.
“This “season” definitely was a downgrade…” Reddit user MidlifePlanet78 writes. “Tons of bugs, more skin bundles, 0 new content. I used to love WZ but this game is a joke now”
Now, Warzone cheaters can even download hacks on console. And this means that turning off crossplay can’t even guarantee PlayStation users a hacker-free lobby anymore.
But is Warzone dying thanks to hackers right now? One pro player doesn’t believe that’s the case.
