New Warzone Ghoul-ag Teaser Suggest Zombies Coming to the Gulag

A new teaser for Warzone's battle royale indicates that zombies could be coming to the game's Gulag.

If leaks are to be believed, Warzone is about to see some major changes with a future update. And now, players believe that the iconic Warzone Gulag might be getting an infestation of zombies.

Right now, zombies are leaving the crashed Warzone Shipwreck and heading into Verdansk. But a new teaser points the finger at Warzone's Gulag for the next location to see some undead action.

This could be the start of the heavily-leaked Warzone Plague Mode which features both zombies and a nuke.

Warzone Ghoul-ag Teaser - Zombies in the Gulag?

In a new promotional advertisement, Activision is teasing zombies in the Warzone Gulag.

This comes after popular Call of Duty content creators began receiving packages in the mail from Activision. As part of a tease for the upcoming Warzone update, the publisher is decking out select users in an official Gulag uniform.

Alongside some bright-colored Verdansk prison pants, the Warzone publisher also left a note for its recipients.

"There are no second chances after losing a battle here. The outer prison is a hostile-rich environment. You're safer in the ghoul-ag."

This cryptic message is making Warzone fans believe that Verdansk's zombies are heading straight for the Gulag. Whether there's a change to the 1v1 system or players will be working together to battle their way out of a zombie-infested prison, we're not yet sure.

All we know for certain is that Verdansk will soon be destroyed to deal with the zombie threat. It looks like the Gulag isn't the only place that's soon to be overrun.

But once Warzone's signature map is gone, Verdansk is reportedly never coming back. Let's hope that our incoming locale is one worthy of coming with such a loss.

Before that happens, check out our full Warzone Year 1 recap, and prepare to look back fondly on your first year with Activision's battle royale.

However, as we head into the second year of the battle royale's lifespan, hacks and cheaters are worse than ever in Warzone.
