The FFAR 1 in Warzone is definitely the game's most dominant weapon right now, but NICKMERCS claims it won't be long until it's nerfed.
If you've been playing Warzone lately, chances are you've had more than one death to the FFAR. Black Ops Cold War's fast-firing Assault Rifle has the Time to Kill of an SMG and is one of the best weapons in the game right now.
It seems that everyone in the game is running the FFAR in their loadout at the moment - with this insane Warzone Season 2 sniper as a secondary.
And with the gun melting your enemies in seconds, it seems a little too powerful to stay in the game. Many players are even comparing the FFAR to the broken DMR meta which ruined Warzone for months.
It's fair to say that the Assault Rifle has had its time at the top of the food chain. After all, the FFAR has been popular in Warzone ever since the DMR was nerfed.
In a graph of the most popular Warzone metas in Year 1, we see the FFAR arriving late in 2020. But so far, it's been dominant in Year 2.
NICKMERCS Claims Warzone Devs Will Nerf the FFAR Soon
In a new upload, Warzone YouTuber and Twitch star NICKMERCS claims to know that the FFAR will soon be nerfed.
In his latest release, the pro-player says goodbye to the dominant FFAR and assures fans that a nerf is coming.
"The gun has taken over the game for quite some time now," NICKMERCS attests. "And whenever this happens in the history of the game - it's only a matter of time before it gets nerfed into the ground.
The YouTuber goes on to point at the DMR 14, the Bruen Mk9, the GRAU 5.56, and the 'Doof Doof' (Warzone's affectionate name for the Dragon's Breath shotgun) as being examples of huge nerfs to meta weapons.
Of course, should NICKMERCS be correct about an incoming FFAR nerf, that may well mean an unwelcome return of this unpopular meta in Warzone Season 2. Hopefully, both weapons will get some balancing in the next major update.
In an interesting new update, Activision promises "never seen before" content coming to future Warzone seasons.
If you've been keeping your ear to the ground, you may already know Warzone's upcoming Plague Mode features Zombies and a Nuke.
We recently got a major Warzone new map leak which details changes to the battle royale's player count, POIs, and more. But if rumors prove correct, Verdansk will soon be unplayable in Warzone - forever!
