Warzone & Black Ops Cold War Season 4 Reloaded is just about to drop – here’s everything we know about the update’s patch notes.
It’s finally time for Warzone & Cold War Season 4 Reloaded, and this update should be a big one. With plenty of content still to deliver this season, we already have a good idea of what’s to come.
What’s more, new information from Treyarch and intriguing leaks reveal more about the future of Call of Duty. But while change is important, it’s certainly not for everyone.
After all, NICKMERCS still prefers old Warzone to Verdansk ’84. And we’re certain there are a lot of players that would prefer fixes to Warzone’s insane cheating problems to new content.
Everything New in Warzone & Black Ops Cold War Season 4 Reloaded
With Warzone & Black Ops Cold War Season 4 Reloaded’s release date just around the corner, here’s what to expect at launch:
New Multiplayer Maps
First off, when it comes to Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer maps, we’ve got a new Rush 6v6 map returning to the game. This is yet another Black Ops 2 remaster, which is what we expected back in Season 1.
We know there are still more classic Black Ops remasters coming in future too.
On top of that, Capture the Flag will be returning to Black Ops Cold War in Season 4 Reloaded. The classic objective game mode features players attempting to take a flag from the enemy base and return it to their own area.
New Operator Bundles
Undoubtedly, new updates give Activision a reason to release more cosmetics, and we’ll have some brand-new Operators arriving in Season 4 Reloaded. One such addition is the long-awaited arrival of Grigori Weaver, commanding officer of Requiem.
Although a big part of the Black Ops Cold War Zombies storyline, long-time fans will remember Weaver from the original Black Ops story too.
It wouldn’t be a major Call of Duty without new weapons and the OTS 9 is yet another new SMG coming to Cold War and Warzone. Right now, one of Warzone’s best weapons is an overpowered SMG, and many fans will be glad to see yet another new addition.
Let’s just hope it’s not as broken as the Nail Gun was at launch. Also coming with the Season 4 Reloaded update is the Mace melee weapon, which may well secretly arrive in-game early.
New Zombies Map – Mauer Der Toten
Of course, one of the biggest draws of Black Ops Cold War Season 4 Reloaded is the new Zombies map. Mauer Der Toten has a new trailer and it looks like a return to form for the franchise.
After all, it’s been a long time since our last round-based Zombies map and players are certainly excited to jump back in. But don’t forget to play the Mauer Der Toten prologue mission to prepare yourself!
And we’ve already got a new look at the upcoming Cold War Zombies Mule Kick Perk and its upgrade tiers!
New Black Ops Cold War Zombies Patch Notes
Treyarch is also working on balancing the Cold War Zombies further, with the following early patch notes releasing ahead of Season 4 Reloaded.
- Reduced enemy health caps:
- Zombies: Reduced to +100% at high rounds (down from +300%)
- Specials: Reduced to +50% at high rounds (down from +100%)
- Elites: Reduced to +25% at high rounds (down from +100%)
- HVTs: Reduced to +10% at high rounds (down from +100%)
- Reduced health of armor for Medium and Heavy zombies by 30%.
- Buffed sniper rifle critical damage multipliers, stock ammo, and max damage.
- Buffed melee weapon Pack-a-Punch and triple Pack-a-Punch damage multipliers.
- Equipment, Support, and Field Upgrades (Frost Blast and Energy Mine) will scale their damage evenly with this update. Equipment and Support will now be much more consistent in their ability to kill enemies, and Lethal Equipment and ground-based Support will see an increase in damage in many instances.
What’s more, Dynamic Wall Buys will allow Wall Buy weapons a chance to increase in rarity at the end of every fifth round. This way, there’s more of a reason to invest in a Wall Buy, and more variety than ever in round-based Zombies maps.
Call of Duty: Vanguard Reveal
Could this be the update where we finally get the reveal of Call of Duty: Vanguard in-game? Some fans certainly believe so.
Right now, Vanguard is the worst-kept secret in Call of Duty history, but leaks already indicate that the game will be a disaster. However, we’ve also seen new reports that tease a massive WW2 Warzone map with planes, tanks, and boats.
This could be a make or break moment for Warzone, and we’re excited to see what happens.
Unfortunately, we don’t imagine that too much is changing on the Warzone front, besides another wave of fixes and a balance patch. Warzone’s balance is in a good place right now, but there’s a new Krig 6 loadout that’s laser beam accurate and could use a tweak.
We recently discovered whether Warzone is better on PS5 or Xbox Series X too. It looks like there’s certainly a winner this time around.
