Warzone 2 Players Unhappy With April Fools Totally the Same BR

April's Fool's is no joke for some.

Warzone 2 players are unhappy with the April Fools 2023 takeover of “Totally the Same BR” in their usual Battle Royale playlist.

Today, Warzone 2 released a “Totally the Same BR” April Fools playlist that completely replaced the core squad Al Mazrah playlists and frustrated the community.

Totally the Same BR is a new mode that players can play for a limited time in Warzone 2.

Unfortunately, by adding this new mode, Warzone 2 completely removed its usual Battle Royale Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads modes. This left players with only Warzone 2 Resurgence and Totally the Same BR.

Warzone 2 Fans Complain About Totally the Same BR

Some players were just downright angry and wondered why their weekend plans had taken a turn for the worst without any prior warning.

It seems that Call of Duty keeps missing the mark with their fanbase. Just yesterday, many popular streamers were heading back to Warzone Caldera to try and reignite their love for the franchise.

Other players reacted to the April Fool’s events with a few jokes of their own. One redditor said that the game has been in a constant state of April Fools since its release in November.

The community also wondered why they would release a mode like this when the game desperately needed some fixes.

It is safe to say that the community was not happy. They felt that Infinity Ward completely missed the mark with this mode and failed to address the real issues concerning the rapidly decreasing player base.

Some players believe Raven Software could have avoided the entire issue altogether. All they needed to do was keep the usual game modes.

This would have allowed players to try out “Totally the Same BR” but allowed them to return to their usual game modes once they tried it.

Why Were Normal Battle Royale Modes Removed?

The usual Battle Royale modes were removed from Warzone 2 to highlight the new “Totally the Same BR” April Fool’s event.

This mode will stay in Warzone 2 until April 4 at 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET / 8 AM BST, and all normal Battle Royale modes are expected to return as soon as this event ends.

Due to the community reaction, it is also possible we could see them added back into the game earlier than planned.

Players can still play Warzone 2 Resurgence Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads for the time being.

Update – April 2: Raven Software has added Standard Solos, Duos, and Mini Royale Trios, and kept Totally The Same BR Quads in the latest playlist update.
