One of the biggest complaints that Call of Duty players have had since launch is that Warzone 2 changed a lot of aspects that weren’t broken, when compared to its predecessor.

And for fans of sniper rifles, it was disappointing to learn that one-shot kills were no longer possible in Warzone 2.

Now though, it seems that all could change in the Season 3 update.

One Shot Sniper in Warzone 2

Will Warzone 2 Snipers One-Shot Kill in Season 3?

It seems that select Warzone 2 sniper rifles could be getting the ability to one-shot kill in Season 3, according to an official tease from Activision and Raven Software.

In its latest blog post, Activision hints that the Season 3 patch notes will include a ‘crucial change to sniper rifles’.

Raven Software provided the most obvious tease by commenting on a Twitter post by ModernWarzone with emojis that seem to point toward “One Shot”.

We will update this article with specific details per weapon once the patch goes live with Warzone 2 Season 3.

Seeing as Raven Software recently tested one-shot snipers in Warzone 2, and they were a huge success, we think it’s safe to say that the long-range weaponry will soon be more lethal than ever.

Leaker just4leaks2 on Twitter also states that one-shot sniper kills will be possible, at certain distances.

We imagine that, should the feature return, it’ll be similar to Warzone 1 where only certain guns could insta-down within particular ranges.

And just in time for snipers to get a potential upgrade, the Intervention is arriving in MW2 & Warzone Season 3!

What’s more, even JGOD indicates that big changes are coming to Warzone 2 on Season 3’s release date. In his latest video, the content creator states:

“There’s a bunch of stuff included in here that I can’t talk about yet…” the YouTuber reports. “This undersells how crazy the patch notes are gonna be next week.”

In recent years, Activision has spoken directly to select content creators, explaining their thoughts behind changes and hinting at what’s to come.

It seems that the publisher has once again communicated with Warzone streamers and Call of Duty fans, and JGOD isn’t the only one to tease what’s to come.

Streamer JoeWo also recently confirmed the presence of one-shot snipers in Season 3, being notably less subtle about what he’s heard:

For now, as ever, be sure to take leaks with a hefty pinch of salt.

While we wait for confirmation, here’s everything that’s dropping in Warzone 2 & MW2 Season 3!
