Warzone 2 Map & All POIs Leak, Bigger Than Verdansk & Caldera

A new drawing of the Warzone 2 map is leaking online, and it looks a lot bigger than Caldera and Verdansk.

Over the last 24 hours, we’ve had more than our fair share of Call of Duty information come barreling our way. Not only do we have a brand-new major Warzone update dropping today, but now the Warzone 2 map is leaking too.

On top of that, we just got the official release date of Modern Warfare 2 confirmed at last!

And it wasn’t long after that every MW2 edition was leaking for all to see.

Before we’ve even decided on which one we’re going to buy, new word is emerging regarding Warzone 2. The long-awaited follow-up to 2020’s iconic Battle Royale is set to feature a total refresh, a return to Modern Warfare weaponry, and a brand-new map.

Warzone 2 Map Drawing Teased by Tom Henderson

Leaker Tom Henderson has done yet another drawing, this time of the Warzone 2 map that’ll drop alongside the new Battle Royale.

With the release of Warzone’s true successor, most likely in late 2022 or early 2023, we’re getting an all-new Battle Royale map.

And, thanks to a new sketch featured on Try Hard Guides, we may have just gotten our first look at what’s to come. As you can see in the image below, the map features a number of interesting POIs, and a lot more water than you’d expect.

With rivers flowing throughout Warzone 2’s battlefield, players will be able to take advantage of a new swimming mechanic, Henderson claims. There is also a railway track that loops around most of the arena, and the map also leads into the ocean on one side.

If this leak is correct, it’s clear that Infinity Ward knows how much players miss Verdansk. Now, with a large Modern City to the Northeast, we can already tell which drop point will be the most popular.

Warzone 2 Map Allegedly Bigger Than Verdansk & Caldera

The Try Hard Games post also claims that the new map “does seem bigger than that of Verdansk and Caldera”. If that’s the case, could Activision be looking to up the player count even higher in Warzone 2?

Not long ago, we got a massive leak for Modern Warfare’s new DMZ mode. Now, Henderson believes that sections of this same map could appear in the Tarkov-inspired gameplay.

What’s interesting is that Henderson also claimed that the Warzone 2 map would feature classic MW2 maps just last week. If so, could Airport really be Terminal, and Quarry be its MW2 map of the same name?

Plus don’t miss yet another Henderson claim that Warzone 2 will feature bags, strongholds, and new gameplay mechanics. We’re not sure all Warzone fans will like the sound of this one though.

It’s worth noting that while Tom Henderson is a big name in the leaking community, his track record isn’t 100% accurate. We’d take this new Warzone 2 image with a big pinch of salt, but it’s interesting to see what might be around the corner!
