The Revive Pistol made its debut in Warzone 2 and the handy new item lets you revive allies and enemies alike!
Warzone 2 added some excellent new features to the Battle Royale, and while opinion on the release is still a mixed bag, there are certainly some positives.
One of the most interesting new features added to the game is its new Revive Pistol. But what exactly is the item and how can you use it?
What is a Revive Pistol in Warzone 2?
A Revive Pistol is a Field Upgrade in Warzone 2 that allows players to revive downed users from long distances, simply by shooting them with it. It can also be used as a Self-Revive Kit, allowing players to revive themselves when they’re down.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Revive Pistol and how it works in-game.
- It has 4 charges. This means you can revive your friends or enemies four times before it is completely used.
- You can use it as a Self-Revive Kit. If you self-revive using the Revive Pistol, it will automatically consume all your remaining charges.
- You need to shoot directly at a player for them to begin reviving. Once shot, players will start to revive, similar to when their teammates revive them.
- It is not an instant revival. Players need to wait for the same period of time as they would with a self-revive kit.
- Players can not be revived through walls or any other surfaces. It has to be a direct hit for the Revive Pistol to work.
- There is no distance limit when reviving another player. If your shot makes direct contact with them, they’ll be revived.
- Revive Pistols will work on any downed player, not just allies.
It is one of the many different Field Upgrades in Warzone 2 that players can use to gain an advantage.
Where to Find Revive Pistol in Warzone 2
Revive Pistols can be found scattered around Al Mazrah, but are most commonly found in medical cabinets and first aid kits which are usually located on the walls of certain bathrooms and household areas.
Players can also purchase Revive Pistols from certain Buy Stations in Warzone 2 for $2,400.

Although with how Buy Stations work in Warzone 2, only a limited supply of the Field Upgrade will be in-stock at once. You’ll need to be quick to raise the necessary cash if you want to get your hands on one before they’re out of stock.
How to Use a Revive Pistol
To use a Revive Pistol, simply make sure it’s equipped and use your Field Equipment with L1+R1 / LB+RB / X. This will take out the Revive Pistol which can then be fired (R2 / RT / Left Click) at a downed player to revive them after a short time has passed.
To use a Revive Pistol in this way, you must ensure it is in your Field Equipment slot, not in your backpack.

To use a Revive Pistol on yourself, simply hold Triangle / Y / F to use it as a Self-Revive Kit when you’re down. This will use up all remaining charges in one go.
This will work even if your Revive Pistol is in your backpack, and it can be done multiple times if you have several Revive Pistols on you.
It’s also worth mentioning that, when using a Revive Pistol you cannot stop the self-revive process once you begin, unlike with a regular Self-Revive Kit.
How to Revive Enemies in Warzone 2
To revive enemy players in Warzone 2, all you need to do is equip the Revive Pistol item that can be found in Al Mazrah and shoot your downed enemy with it. They will then begin the revive process and will get up after a few seconds.
It may seem odd to revive an enemy, but thanks to the new proximity chat mechanic, it can be an advantage.
Players can choose to team up with enemy team players and use the Revive Pistol to help them when they are downed. Here’s how to join or invite other players to your squad once you’ve helped them out!
In some instances, players are actually using the Revive Pistol to taunt their enemies. After shooting them with the revive dart, you can see how long it takes until an enemy revives, which means you can easily down them once again.
A Revive Pistol has a total of four activations before it is unusable. This means you can revive an enemy four times for the ultimate disrespect.
