A new bug appearing in Warzone 2 has players battling it out in the Gulag against their own teammates.

It seems that the highly-anticipated return to the 1v1 Gulag has brought with it a new issue where squads can now fight amongst themselves.

In a new clip that’s garnering a lot of attention on social media, OMiT Jase shows a clip of themself in-game, being put into a Gulag with their teammate FearRampage.

After realizing what’s going on, the squadmates decide to wait and take down the jailer. However they quickly realize that the feature that offers all Gulag players the chance to escape has been removed in the Battle Royale’s latest update.

That’s just one of the ways that the Gulag has changed in Warzone 2 Season 2!

Thought the two players are initially unwilling to fight one another, they eventually realize that there’s no other way out. And with little resistance, Jase ends his teammate’s game.

Warzone 2 Gulag Bug Has Players Fight Against Their Squad

This isn’t a one-off situation either, it seems. Twitch streamer Deffsquid has also encountered the issue, pitting him against one of his downed team members. And what’s particularly interesting is that Warzone still registers the opposing player as an ally, meaning you can see their position through walls.

However, the Gulag fight does still allow you to take down your teammate, so they clearly don’t register them as an ally in all regards.

But that’s not even the first time in recent history that the Warzone 2 Gulag gave players wall hacks. And a few times the Gulag has even given some Operators a minigun!

At the time of this article’s writing, it is not clear whether or not Activision is aware of the issue. We can see that it is yet to appear on the Warzone 2 Trello Board, alongside other bugs and glitches.

For now, players will have to try and avoid dying alongside their squadmates or risk going up against them.

This isn’t the only bug that’s frustrating players in the new season either. The new Warzone 2 looting system is causing all manner of issues, causing many players to call for the return of backpacks already.
