Warzone 2 players on Ashika Island will drop a Dog Tag when eliminated, once per game.

If a redeploying player or their teammate picks up the Dog Tag, they’ll be rewarded with Cash and trigger a UAV ping which scans for both enemies and Supply Boxes.

Dog Tags are also excellent bait, as you can count on players returning to collect the powerful bonus when they respawn.

The official Call of Duty blog suggests gaining an advantageous position nearby and using the Dog Tag to lure Resurging players out into the open.

It might be best to avoid heading back to your dropped Tag, if you believe enemies to still be nearby.

What Do Dog Tags Do in Warzone 2 Resurgence?

Picking up your own Dog Tag or one belonging to a teammate will provide the following benefits:

  • A small Cash reward
  • a UAV Ping that scans for both enemies and Supply Boxes

Players will only drop a Dog Tag the first time they’re eliminated each game on Ashika Island.

Both rewards are designed to get Resurging players back on their feet in no time. But since Dog Tags are so advantageous to collect, they’re also good positions to watch while prone and ADS.
