Warzone 2 DMZ Rebreather: Where to Find & How to Use

Dive into the action: A guide to DMZ's latest Field Upgrade.

The Rebreather is a new Field Upgrade in DMZ that will allow players to hold their breath underwater for extended periods.

MW2 & Warzone 2 gamers who have previously played Raids will recognize this item as it was used in a previous mission.

Where to Find a Rebreather in Warzone 2 DMZ

Finding the Rebreather will be completely random, and you may not even get one in some games. However, players can potentially find this item in:

  • Ground loot
  • Chests
  • Weapon lockers
  • Toolboxes
  • First Aid boxes

There is no specific place on the DMZ map to find this field upgrade. Your best bet is to loot around to try and find one.

Of course, this may take some time, as other field upgrades will also spawn as part of ground loot.

How to Use a Rebreather in Warzone 2 DMZ

The Rebreather field upgrade can be deployed using the following buttons on your platform.

  • PlayStation: L1 + R1
  • Xbox: LB + RB
  • PC: Hold X

Once it is equipped players will then need to press the fire button to take a breath from the cannister:

  • PlayStation: R2
  • Xbox: RT
  • PC: Left Mouse Button

Players can take four extra breaths while using this item, with each use lasting around 20 seconds.

Traveling underwater could be a great way to escape a ton of enemies, whether it be AI or real players. It can also be a great way to travel around the outer side of the map quickly.

The Rebreather is just one of the many new items that have come to DMZ in Season 3. This extraction-based mode has received quite a few updates this season.

While some of these DMZ updates have been well-received by the player base, a significant change has left fans worried about the future of this mode.
